Bumi Hills Safari Lodge offers a variety of game and birdlife viewing for the enthusiast and amateur alike. Elephant, buffalo, kudu, and impala abound, while lions can be heard on the hunt.

Almost four hundred bird species have been recorded on the valley floor and around the lake shore. These include the European hobby, the Cuckoo falcon and the Bat hawk. Fish eagles and Bateleur eagles survey all from above.
