The highly acclaimed Royal Grill is The Royal's 70-year old flagship restaurant, boasting some of the country's top award-winning, unsurpassed haute cuisine and opulent décor. Dinner at The Royal Grill is a true experience of bygone pampering, guests are greeted by a hostess and are served complimentary sherries and canapés in the Grill Lounge before being seated. Diners are waited on hand and foot by a Captain, a waiter, a wine Steward and a busser whilst the melody of the Grand Piano plays softly in the background.

The Royal Grill serves as an ideal venue for romantic dinners, as well as intimate celebratory functions such as birthdays and anniversaries. Famous Ulundi Restaurant in the Royal Hotel has been a favourite amongst patrons for a number of years.  Winners of many awards, their objective has always been to offer something different to traditional styles of cooking, and therefore their continuous search for new styles and flavors of Indian cuisine.  Hence the arrival of Thalis style recipes incorporating traditional spice blending and awesome Indian aromas.
