Alpine Heath Resort

"I would like to congratulate the Board Members, Management team and staff members of Alpine Heath Resort in the Northern Drakensberg with an excellent job, and leaving us with memories and an experience of a lifetime which we will never forget.

I am writing this mail in conjunction with my husband, whom I might add, is quite difficult to please.

Our journey started off in Pretoria, Gauteng. We had both been working very hard throughout the course of the last 3 months and we really needed a break away from work and all the everyday hassles. My husband suggested that we visit some place where we had never been before as we were bored with the same rituals of going down to Durban, every time we needed a break.

One of my husband's work colleagues recommended the Alpine Heath resort to him, and we then browsed through the web page, immediately realizing that this was the perfect break-away location for the two of us.

We had never been to the Drakensberg region before, and we were mesmerized by the sheer beauty and vastness of the mountains as we drove through to the resort. The resort setting is perfect and seems to "just have to be there". Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a friendly, charming fellow at the main gate, who seemed to be just as happy as we were to be there. He made us feel right at home.

The resort grounds are very well maintained and I must say Management is doing an excellent job at maintaining a very high standard of neatness and tidiness both outside and inside the living areas. Our Chalet was beautifully furbished and décor very tastefull.

Activities at the resort were very enjoyable, and as everything else within the resort, in very good condition. We were happy with the general attitude of the restaurant staff, which we found very pleasing.

Marietjie and her assistant from Be Spoilt Salon, literally "Spoiled" us rotten with some of the best treatments we've ever experienced. The Professionalism and Expertise they portrayed is synonymous with some of the best treatments in the world and definitely deserves recognition.

We enjoyed our stay at Alpine Heath Resort so much that we are recommending a visit to all of our friends. We are actually in the process of planning our annual vacation, and we are looking to take our elderly parents to the resort as a treat.

The only thing left to say, is that we had the time of our lives, and we would like to thank the Management of the resort for doing an excellent job at making each and every guest feel special.
