How To Earn and Spend Exceptional Rands

  • You are required to produce your Exceptional Rewards card at the time of check out so that the receptionist can electronically load your rewards and update your balance.
  • The Exceptional Rewards card is fully transferable. Therefore anyone who produces your card on check-out will earn Exceptional Rands on your account. The onus rests with the cardholder to inform Boomerang Marketing on 021 6738100 when a card is lost, stolen or misplaced. Lost or stolen cards will be replaced by Boomerang Marketing at a nominal fee.
  • Exceptional Rands will be awarded for accommodation charges on your room account based on the South African Rand. Food and beverage, direct dialled telephone, laundry/valet, and in-room movies or any other incidental charges do not earn Exceptional Rands.   Exceptional Rands cannot be earned on banquet or meeting room charges billed back to a member’s room.  Exceptional Rands cannot be earned or accrued for charges master-billed or paid by tour operators. Bookings generated from pre-paid channels, such as but not limited to, lastminute.co.za, hotelbeds.co.za, etc., or tour operators or other vouchers or for certain other commissionable rates do not earn Exceptional Rands. Other rates not eligible to earn Exceptional Rands include: tour operator rates, wholesaler rates, free night rewards, room rates billed to master account and employee rates.
  • Exceptional Rands can only be earned for amounts actually paid with respect to accommodation charges. Exceptional Rands cannot be earned in conjunction with complimentary, barter or award stays. Multiple rooms on the same stay count as only one “stay” in order to earn rewards vouchers and for threshold bonuses and promotions.
  • We reserve the right to correct any Exceptional Rands values or statements printed in error. Exceptional Rands earned that do not appear on your most recent statement will be reflected on a future statement. In the event Three Cities Management improperly denies a reward or membership benefit, Three Cities Management’s liability is limited to the proper posting of rewards to your account or issuing the correct benefit.
  • Exceptional Rands will not be issued for stays completed prior to your enrollment in the programme. Group bookings do not qualify for rewards unless accepted in writing by the hotel General Manager prior to the date of arrival. If there is any dispute in this regard the final decision will be at the sole discretion of the hotel General Manager.
  • Special offers will no longer be valid, and rewards may no longer be earned, at a participating property which leaves the Three Cities hotel system or discontinues its participation in the Exceptional Rewards programme before such offer or award is redeemed, or with respect to any portion of a stay after a hotel leaves the system or terminates participation.
  • We reserve the right to deduct any Exceptional Rands credited to an account in error.
