What is the Exceptional Rewards programme?
Our programme consists of Three Tiers, Silver, Gold and Black and the Silver Card is absolutely free.
The exciting benefits include various discounts, Exceptional Rands, news and updates as well as lifestyle tips. Our Exceptional Rewards Card makes your wallet grow every time you use it. Each time you stay at one of our Three Cities Hotels you earn rewards on your card in the form of Exceptional Rands. The best part is that you don’t have to wait months to spend your Exceptional Rands at any of our Three Cities Hotels. You can spend them once you have collected 250 or more.
There will be an opportunity for you to upgrade your membership from Silver to Gold status with substantial additional benefits.
You can earn up to 10% off your accommodation value back in Exceptional Rands which can then be used at any participating Three Cities hotels to pay for your accommodation.
How can I become a member of the Exceptional Rewards programme?
Any natural person can join our rewards programme. The Silver membership is free of charge; the Gold membership is available at a cost of R1 200.00 and the Exceptional Black membership is by invitation only and will be free of charge as long as the member meets the required selection criteria of a minimum of 50 stays over a 12 month period.
How does it work?
Your Exceptional Rewards card is your ticket to the big time with amazing rewards and benefits, Exceptional Rands, accommodation e- vouchers and much more.
Simply use your Exceptional Rewards Card to earn Exceptional Rands every time you pay for accommodation at one of our participating Three Cities Hotels. All you need to do is present your Exceptional Rewards card at reception upon departure and start enjoying your Exceptional Rands that will then be electronically loaded onto your card. The receptionist will simply electronically transfer up to 10% of your accommodation spend onto your card.
The Exceptional Rewards card is available to individuals travelling in their individual capacity.
Enjoy Exceptional rewards when you settle your bill on departure at any participating Three Cities Hotel. You can view your Exceptional Rands balance and change your details online at www.threecities.co.za/exceptionalrewards.
What is an online profile and why do I need one?
Our rewards programme works electronically, which means you can view your account details at anytime through your own personalized profile account online.
Your online profile is your personal online membership account, which allows you to view offers, book your stays, check your Exceptional Rand balance and generally manage your profile, at your convenience. Because the Exceptional Rewards Programme works electronically, every member requires their own online profile.

How is my online privacy protected?
Three Cities is committed to the highest level of privacy protection for all our guests with special programs and safeguards in place. Your login is always executed through a secure connection.
What are Exceptional Rands?
Your Exceptional Rands are just like cash, 100 Exceptional Rands = R100.
The best part is that you can start spending your Exceptional Rands once you’ve collected 250 or more. Exceptional Rands can then be used at any participating Three Cities hotels to pay for your accommodation.
How do I earn Exceptional Rewards?
Whenever you stay at one of our participating hotels in, you can earn up to 10% of your accommodation spend back in Exceptional Rands.
You also earn up to a further 5% back in Exceptional Rands on advertised special offers.
You can earn Exceptional Rands whether you’re staying for business or leisure.
When can I spend my Exceptional Rands?
You can choose to spend your Exceptional Rands whenever you wish, as long as you have earned a minimum of 200. The best part is you don’t have to wait months to spend your rewards – they are available within 24 hours and you can stand spending your Exceptional Rands once you’ve collected 250 of them.
How can I spend my Exceptional Rands?
You can use your Exceptional Rands to settle your bill upon departure at any participating Three Cities Hotel.
Can I earn/spend my Exceptional Rands outside of South Africa?
No, Exceptional Rands can only be earned and spent in any of our participating Three Cities Hotels in South Africa.
Can I exchange my Exceptional Rands for cash?
No, Exceptional Rands may not be exchanged for cash, alternative e-vouchers or transferred to another Exceptional Rewards member.
When will my Exceptional Rands expire?
Your Exceptional Rands are valid for 12 months.
What are the e-vouchers?
As a joining member you also will receive e- vouchers that will be loaded electronically, directly onto the card, valued at R4, 500.
Once payment (for the Gold membership) and the application form have been processed by Boomerang Marketing they will post the new card in a card carrier
These e- vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of joining. The Exceptional Rewards card must be presented at reception when you claim your free accommodation.
E- vouchers may only be valid for certain hotels, please be sure to check the list of participating hotels on www.threecities.co.za/exceptionalrewards
Where can I find my e-vouchers?
When you login to your online profile, you will be able to see in the Exceptional Rewards member details block whether you have e-vouchers to redeem.
How do I redeem my vouchers?
When making your booking online, you will be able to see whether or not you have e-vouchers to redeem.
If you do, you will have the option of redeeming them during the booking process.
The Exceptional Rewards card must be presented at reception when you claim your free accommodation.
Reception staff will honour the voucher presented in accordance with the terms and conditions printed on the e-voucher and/or as detailed in the Terms and Conditions.
You can still earn rewards on the accommodation portion charged to your account but not for the complimentary portion of the e-voucher.

How many times can I redeem a voucher?
An e- voucher can only be redeemed once.
What will happen if I lose my Exceptional Rewards card?
Lost, stolen or misplaced cards must be reported immediately. Exceptional Rewards cards are fully transferable, which means that anyone presenting your card at a participating hotel or at an Exceptional Rewards partner can either earn or redeem Exceptional Rands from your account.
Cards can be replaced or cancelled by phoning Boomerang Marketing on 021 673 8100 . Cards are replaced at a cost. The new card replaces the old card with no loss of Exceptional Rands or unredeemed e- vouchers. The replacement fee can be paid from your Exceptional Rands.
