The ever popular boutique hotel of the Atlantic seaboard, the Three Cities Bantry Bay Suite Hotel, is following the example of many women of a certain age, and indulging in a mini makeover. Unlike most women, however, this lady is spending R1 million on her transformation.
Over the next three months, the deluxe suites will be delightfully enhanced in a neutral palette with touches of soft green and pale silver. Pale matte porcelain tiles and new showers featuring clean lines and upmarket fittings will impart a fresh, new and modern look. Market-leading Geberit sanitary technology will be included in the suites, saving water and improving water consumption.
Most of the work is directed at soft furnishing improvements – new beds, pillows and cushions – but there will be some changes that will be slightly noisier. The management has ensured that those long, lazy lie-ins won’t be affected as noise levels will be limited to only a few days and between 10h00 and 17h00.
“That is the time when most of our guests are out and about anyway,” says Eben Lassen, General Manager. “The whales and dolphins in the majestic Atlantic Ocean and the easy walk along the seaside promenade to the V&A Waterfront tempt them out of their suites.”
