Three Cities Docklands Hotel (PAY 2 AND STAY 3 DEAL)
Guests were treated to a feast of delectable treats at the express “Little Italy” breakfast stand at the Three Cities Docklands Hotel.
The express breakfast was available at the Hotel from the start of Indaba 2013 until Monday, 20 May 2013.
The “Little Italy” stand was constantly busy with Indaba guests grabbing a quick bite or filling a pack to get them through the day. It is amazing how this little express stand full of goodies created a great atmosphere at the Three Cities Docklands Hotel.
Inn on the Square (PAY 2 AND STAY 3 DEAL)
Three Cities Inn on the Square’s guests have been raving about the clock monumental that has been ticking away for over 120 years. The inner workings of the clock date back to 1891.
The company responsible for the workings is Gillett and Johnson based in Croydon England. The Clock is a replica of the original found on the Shell Building on the Embankment in Central London. Both clocks have become recognised as iconic clock landmarks.
The Clock works with gears, a pendulum and weights. These days the weights are electrically wound but they still can be wound up manually if desired. The weights need to be wound up every 24 hours.
Legend has it that in the early days the clock was set 5 minutes earlier so that the people of Cape Town would arrive for work on time!!
