The Three Cities Westville Hotel enters a new phase of its illustrious history. Ceasing to operate as a Hotel at the end of November, the Hotel will remain firmly within the hospitality industry by re-emerging as a much needed residence for students studying at the Durban campus of The International Hotel School.
Established in the mid-1800′s as the first stop between Durban and Pietermaritzburg, the landmark Westville Hotel complex includes two independently owned restaurants – Waxy O’Connors and La Storia – which will continue to operate from the premises.
According to Three Cities chief executive, Mike Lambert, the conversion of the Three Cities Westville Hotel was in response to the tremendous demand for suitable accommodation for students of the International Hotel School. The new residence will accommodate 24 students. The proud history of the Hotel remains, this time offering accommodation to our future great Chefs and Hoteliers.
