Gateway Theatre of Shopping’s Gateway Hotel Takeover competition winner, Roxanne Pellew of Umkomaas, recently cashed in her prize of an exclusive weekend for her and 100 friends at Umhlanga’s Gateway Hotel. The prize was valued at R300 000 and included dinner, bed and breakfast and beverages at meal times for everyone. About the weekend, which took place from Friday 30th March – Sunday 1st April 2012, Roxanne said having all her friends staying in a place like the Gateway Hotel was ‘out of this world’. “There are no words to describe how amazing this experience was. The Gateway Hotel went out of their way for us and the service was awesome. We all had the time of our lives,” she said.
Hotel Deputy General Manager Barbara Smith said, “It was a pleasure to have Roxanne and her friends to stay. It was clear that they thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we were delighted that the competition was such a success from start to finish. Our team at the hotel worked really hard throughout the guests’ weekend stay to make sure it was a memorable experience. The success of the weekend proved that the Gateway Hotel really does live up to the high level of service and product offering that Three Cities exceptional hotels stands by.”
The Gateway Hotel Takeover competition was launched on 22 November and ran on Facebook, where participants invited friends to follow the Gateway Theatre of Shopping’s VIP fan page. The person who invited the most followers was the winner and throughout the competition there was a running leader board. Roxanne was announced as the winner in February 2012 and shortly thereafter booked her stay at the stunning 3-star Gateway Hotel, Three Cities’ flagship “Green” hotel located in Umhlanga opposite the Gateway theatre of Shopping.
